Just Say Yes

In a lot of situations in life we are too scared of what direction we will be heading with whatever decision we make. Way too often we are scared to change our routine and try to play safe by clinging to our usual behaviours.

Do you really want to ´play safe´ for the rest of your life? No, probably not.

But what happens if we try out something different and say yes to new things once in a while?               We will probably leave our old routines and develop new ones.

Is this supposed to be a good or a bad thing?

Change is inevitable and always keep in mind: if I told you today that your life will look just like it does right now in 20 years, would you be pleased? I guess you probably wouldn´t be. Isn´t life way more interesting if you try out something new every now and then?

Say yes

Because if you don´t take the risk, you will never know what would have happened if you did.

So this statement can be adapted to several situations in life: it´s not only about extreme sports, it´s also with applying for a new job and quitting the new one, moving to a different city, taking the next step.

It´s about doing something you have always wanted, taking the opportunity and leaving the ´What if?´ zone.

Why should you miss an opportunity and play safe, rather than creating lasting memories if you just said yes to something new, something that might be great and might turn out to be your new passion, the one you would never have found if you played safe and responded with an easy “no”.

The “What if” in your life has to be erased, you should rather ask “Why the hell not?” than “what would my life look like right now if had changed something last year?”

If is just a small word with only two letters but it has much more power to us and we way too often cling to the passive way of living than being actually active and full of life, without any ifs and doubts, because life is way too short to overthink everything.

Enjoy life

Go and enjoy life now, not tomorrow and not the day after, because this will lead you to a point when you won´t do it anyhow.

You will never know how your life can change if you change your attitude and keep up things.

You will never know what to expect if you kept working and you will never know how great your results can actually be.                                                                                                                                               That´s why you should answer with a yes more often, try out more new things and change your routines from time to time.

As always, start small and don´t overdo things, the key is that something longlasting won´t come easy and it will take some time.                                                                                                                          But, it will definitely change your life and great things will happen, if you say yes to your dreams and yes to enjoying life.

My challenge for you guys is now, to say yes to something you have always considered doing but didn´t do because you were worried about a small tiny aspect that might ruin everything. (What if I don´t like it, what if….)

This song will help you !

What are you waiting for  by Nickleback; actually listen to the lyrics! There´s so much truth in them.

I’ve heard of this quote many times, but this post has really made me love it even more! Yes… I would be disappointed if my life in 20 years would be the same as it is now and so therefore I need to say yes to more things! A truly inspiring well written post! Thanks so much!
